Hydraulic Tow Pins with Cable Hold-Down and Stern Roller
The Western Machine Works Hydraulic Tow Pin Unit is installed within the stern bulwark of tow- ing vessels of all sizes. Remote controls are placed so that the operator commands an un-obstructed view of the stern of the vessel and tow. The operator can raise of lower the Pins as conditions demand and raise or lower the Hold-Down Block if pitching of the tug and tow requires restricting the upward movement of the cable. Power is transmitted to the vertically actuated Pins and Hold-Down Block by double acting hydraulic cylinders controlled from the console.
