Established in 1948, Allied Shipbuilders serves the coastal commercial marine industry on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. Situated at the mouth of the Seymour River on the north shore of Vancouver Harbour the shipyard is strategically located to service the repair, modification and new build needs of its customers.
Allied Shipbuilders Ltd. has a rich history spanning three generations of shipbuilders. Allied has established an enviable reputation for its ability to deliver new vessels, on time and within budget; its ability to deliver vessels for erection at remote sites and its ability to construct and deliver vessels meeting a wide variety of end uses. Of equal significance has been the Company's ability to attract, hold and develop a highly skilled and dedicated workforce, for use on repair and related projects.
Allied has complete facilities for on-site ship repair, maintenance and modifications to steel, aluminum and wooden vessels. Allied's facilities are equipped for prefabrication of steel and aluminum work and include Joiner, Machine, Pipe and Electrical Shops.
While we're known as Allied Shipbuilders we have, for the last two decade been ship repairers that also do shipbuilding. As a result, we build better vessels by incorporating ease of repair and servicing requirements into our new construction.
Our Western Machine and Coast Engineering Works divisions manufacture hydraulic tow pin/hook units and produce and repair shafting and stern gear equipment, respectively.
